1992 Miata: Acceleration Run Video
Wednesday, September 12, 2007
I've been driving the wheels off of this thing lately. The "fun to drive" quotient has gone up 150% when compared to the non-turbo days. I knew I was in for a surprise, but the turbo (even at these low boost levels) has completely transformed this car.
In this video, boost is set at the factory Greddy preset of 5 psi. I can't imagine how much fun 10 or 15 psi will be!

lol 5 psi.....i have no idea what made you think putting a turbo on that crappy little car would be a good idea, but now that you have learned alittle bit about turbos, you should move up and get yourself a real car, like a talon or a supra....or late year skyline, those are cars with turbos, now your little house fan you got there.

Dear Genius,
5psi is the baseline on the Miata. Also, did you even look at the site? I own a host of other turbo cars, including what you define as a "real car" Thanks for your comment! - At November 2, 2007 6:43 PM, said...

mr.Anonymous is a dumb ass ,it obvious the at 5 psi the miata is running incredible!! the install is very clean, just mount so nice staggered wheel combo a show that a miata can be a "true sports car".

Your miata looks amazing! I'm looking into buying a 1990-1993 and doing that same greddy kit. Hopefully i'll find a nice miata soon. Anyways great car and awesome video. I cant believe that guy would say that your miata is a crap car. wow very sad he cant respect the work you've done to it. Well your video has convinced me to stick with looking for a miata instead of buying a 240sx. Have fun with that awesome car!

Thanks david g and Mk2jetta! The Miata is a total blast to drive. It's sleeping for the winter now, but will be back out in the spring with a (badly needed) new clutch and some more boost.

I'm not sure of the horsepower since I haven't had it dyno tested. I plan to do so in mid April, so stay tuned!
