After dragging the old Talon out of the garage last month and driving it around more, I got bit by the bug. Oh, you know the one…the “wouldn’t 100 more horsepower just be perfect” bug. Yeah, it really sunk it’s teeth into me. Truth is, I’d been thinking about re-working and improving a few things under the hood anyway, so a bigger turbo was just a “while you’re in there” kinda mod. Check out part one of the upgrade!

This has been the busiest summer of my life. While I haven’t done anything in the way of racing or wrenching since June I must say that construction is coming along nicely on my new garage! I feel an excitement and pride that I’m sure Darth Vader felt while watching his Death Star being built. However, I won’t let my thermal exhaust port just hang out there for some rebels to chuck their proton torpedoes into. C’mon Galactic Empire, Duh!

I’ll post lots more progress pictures and details in the coming weeks. Thanks for visiting!

First off, I wanted to say thank you for visiting! Every month for the past year has seen more visitors than the last! This is very humbling and I truly appreciate your support. I’ve been busy as heck this summer, so other than some wrenching on my Grand National, I have had little time to take on any serious car projects. Well, there is one little car related project starting soon…I’m building a new garage! The photo above is (part of) my current and very cramped garage. More details to come!

I haven’t owned this car long, but that didn’t stop me from promptly tearing the front end off of it! You see, I had to. This car was in dire need of a nose job, and the great thing about having an ugly nose is that we have the means to fix it! In addition to fixing the very sad schnoz were a variety of other tasks that when listed on paper read more like an exhaustive medical checkup than a simple wrenching to do list. It’s what’s required when you see a new patient in your office for the first time- you need to get aquainted by checking them out from top to (ahem) bottom. Check out the full story here!
